Boundary Reflections of Rolling Waves in Cubic Anisotropic Material

Rolling waves have unconventional circular polarizations enabled by the equal-speed propagation of longitudinal and transverse in elastic solids. They can transport non-paraxial intrinsic (i.e. spin) mechanical angular momentum media. In this work, we analyze rolling wave reflections their effects on spins a cubic half-space with an elastically supported boundary. Reflected from both normal general oblique incidences are investigated. We show that, adjusting stiffness boundary, precisely control spin properties reflected waves, paving way towards broad category manipulation techniques for bulk waves.
